My Story
Meet King James – The Body Whisperer
Hello, my name is King James, also known as The Body Whisperer. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, by my beautiful mother, Tempie HD, and my father, James D. Spivey Sr. Though my father passed away when I was only three, the strength of my mother and Grandma L shaped the man I am today.
As a child, I struggled with self-esteem, confidence, and knowing my worth. Friendships, love, and life itself often felt like puzzles I couldn’t solve. But through those challenges, my mother and grandmother instilled in me the values of love, resilience, and purpose.
My path began in the culinary arts, but when my mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I felt a deeper calling to help her. I chose massage therapy—a decision that has guided me for more than 15 years as a healer.
🌱 The Birth of A New U Healing
What began as massage sessions for pain relief grew into something much deeper. My own journey—through self-doubt, heartbreak, and rebirth—taught me that true healing is not just physical. It is emotional, mental, and spiritual.
A New U Healing was born from a toxic past where I had to die mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in order to rise again—like a phoenix. It is built on the foundations of self-worth, self-love, and self-improvement. Today, my mission is to bring that same passion, resilience, and unconditional love to every client I serve.
